An evil witch cast a spell on 18-year-old Sophie, turning her into a decrepit old woman. Once in the body of an elderly woman, the heroine leaves her hometown, not knowing where to go. Soon, she stumbles upon an extraordinary dwelling standing on chicken legs, where her paths cross with a powerful magician named Howl and a fiery demon named Calcifer.
